Article 1.8: Infant Baptism: Scriptural Command or Unbiblical Tradition?
Story
When a tiny baby is born into a family, do her parents wait until she grows up and turns eighteen before giving her a name, shelter, and love?
Of course not! The moment that baby arrives, her parents wrap her in a warm blanket, feed her, and love her with all their hearts. The baby didn't have to pass a test or make a big speech to earn a spot in the family—she was welcomed simply because her parents love her.

8th day brought babies font washes away sin &
into God's family. adopts babies into the
Church immediately.
That is why the Church baptizes babies:
God Loved Us First: God’s grace is a free gift! We don't have to be super smart or big enough to say fancy prayers to receive His mercy.
The New Covenant Family: In the Old Testament, God asked parents to bring their eight-day-old babies into His covenant through circumcision. In the New Testament, Saint Paul tells us that Baptism is the new, greater way we bring our whole household into God's family.
Jesus Welcomes the Little Ones: When the Apostles tried to push the babies away, Jesus stopped them and said, "Let the children come to me!" Through the holy water of Baptism, Jesus washes away original sin and adopts little babies into His Church family from the very start.
💬 Talk About It
